Four Pella boys wrestlers navigated a tough field in Norwalk to advance to the upcoming state tournament.

Brayden Sundby (132), Ty Van Vliet (165), Davion Lampkin (175), and Jacob Warner (285) all qualified for the final 24 of Class 3A in their respective weight classes following 3rd place or better finishes at Saturday’s district meet. Van Vliet and Lampkin earned the honor by winning their first two matches of the day, while Sundby and Warner had to battle back after an opening loss. Warner won his final in sudden victory.

Xavier Tobin (115) and Carter Van Kley (215) both narrowly missed the chance, falling in their 3rd place matches and taking 4th in their respective brackets.
