
The Simpson College women’s gymnastics team celebrated the program’s inaugural senior class Sunday afternoon, delivering three second-highest event scores in school history in a 190.925-189.100 dual against Wis.-Eau Claire.
Honoring inaugural team members Kaley Bristow, Izzy Brown, Annika Cole, Avril Crespin, Bella Dix, Brooklen Morgan, Sydney Nalette, Wynter Poolaw, Olivia Short, Kaelyn Tally, Baily Tessena and Emma Tolbert, the Storm posted their second-best totals on vault (48.200), bars (46.825) and floor (48.550). Simpson’s 189.100 team score ranks third in program history.
The senior class led from start to finish. Brown guided the Storm on beam, Tally secured victories on vault and floor with a pair of career highs, and Dix and Morgan both reached the podium on floor. Dix added a career-best on vault, while Crespin (bars) and Bristow (floor) closed out their home careers with personal bests as well.
Kendall Pinkelman tied for second on vault, Liz Sisler finished runner-up with a career high on bars, and Evalyn Resnick claimed third on bars.
