The Marion County Board of Supervisors will start their annual budget session on Tuesday.

This is the annual week where the board discusses and finalizes budgets with each department ahead of the upcoming fiscal year. The board is expected to finish up by Friday with the entire budget session. This also gives the public a chance to ask the board questions about different department budgets and Marion County Board of Supervisors Chair Kisha Jahner says she encourages citizens to attend these sessions if they have concerns.

“Our public hearings will be February 17-20 in the morning starting at 9:00 am. There is always a Zoom link option but we love to have people present and be able to ask questions especially from those department heads and what their salaries are.”

The board will meet at the County North Annex starting at 9:00 am each day.
