Pella Historical Museums are partnering with Pella Corporation to share the story of Buxton, Iowa. The small coal mining town was located 20 miles south of Pella in the late 19th century. While Buxton no longer exists, the community’s story has left a lasting impact in Iowa and beyond, according to Pella Historical Museums Director Jessi Galligan. Author Rachelle Chase will tell this story on Tuesday, February 24, at 7pm. This event is free and open to the public, with no sign up required. The presentation will be located at the Pella Corporation auditorium in their main headquarters at the south end of Main Street.
