The Knoxville City Council continued their annual budget presentations at their regular session meeting Monday.
The council hears presentations from different city departments over the course of several meetings. The presentations break down the annual fiscal year budget for each department, provide the council and public with information regarding spending, and highlight any potential changes or projects coming up that will be funded. On Monday, the council heard budget presentations from the library, airport, parks, recreation, and cemetery.
Also at the meeting the council approved a 28E agreement with Marion County for the Knoxville Area Pavement Rehabilitation Project, the framework for the 2026 municipal facade grant program, and a resolution for establishing mechanical permit fees.
