The Pella Christian boys bowling team wrapped up their season on Monday, taking fifth place at the State Qualifying Meet hosted by Monticello. As a team, the Eagle Boys recorded a total team score of 4504, finishing ahead of Knoxville with a 4337. Andrew Van Kooten led the way for Pella Christian on the day with a 3 game series of 528, followed by Ethan Klaasen at 492 and Dylan Klaasen at 483. Rounding out the Eagles lineup was Caleb Seieroe at 402 and William Nett at 368. Head coach Rod Blunck said he was thrilled with the effort the boys put in throughout the season, and says he is disappointed that the season came to an end. Blunck added that he felt like the team continued to improve throughout the season, and that it showed in this final meet of the year, which he believed was their best showing of the winter.
