The Pleasantville boys basketball team defeated West Marshall at home Monday night in their opening game of Class 2A Substate 3 action.

Pleasantville won the contest in commanding fashion 65-38 and were led in scoring by Braylon Bingham who had 24 points, Levi Willoughby who had 13, and Cash Klootwyk who had 11. The Pleasantville boys will now have a tall task ahead as they will travel to Grundy Center on Thursday to take on a 20-1 Spartans squad. 

The Trojan girls will travel to Mount Ayr tonight for a regional quarterfinals contest which starts at 7:00 pm.
