The Dordt University Wind Symphony, under the direction of Dr. Onsby C. Rose, will perform at Pella Christian High School on Friday, February 27th at 7 pm as part of their spring tour. The concert is free and open to the public. Several graduates of Pella and Pella Christian will perform as members of Wind Symphony. During their spring tour to the East Coast, they will perform in some of the nation’s finest auditoriums and will be guest conducted by notable military band conductors and music educators from across the country. While visiting the nation’s capital and other locations, the ensemble will perform nightly concerts that include music by Ryan Nowlin, Robert Jager, Frank Ticheli, Claude T. Smith, John Philip Sousa and John Mackey. The centerpiece of the concert will be “Symphony No. 4” by David Maslanka.
