The Indianola City Council has approved multiple agenda items in their final meeting of February. The council approved several liquor license renewals, a Home Base Iowa Initiative Application from Mark Crane, designating Highway 92 (Mile Marker 107 to Mile Marker 130) as the “George W. Carver Memorial Highway” in honor of his contributions to the State of Iowa and the communities of Indianola and Winterset, authorization of a handwritten warrant in the amount of $1,500.00, and heard second considerations of city zoning regulations. The council also recommended terminating the existing 28E agreement in preparation for removing the underground fuel tanks and approved a proposal from Unified Contracting Services for the removal of the joint fuel facility at 702 North 6th Street with the cost-share agreement to go with that.
