The Norwalk boys basketball team finished the 2025-2026 regular season with a 75-56 loss at ADM to the Tigers, struggling in the second half. Finishing last week as outright Little Hawkeye Conference champions for the first time in seven years, the Warriors end with a 14-7 overall record and a 10-2 conference record.

The Warriors stuck with the Tigers in the first half, going into the locker room trailing 35-34, but were outscored in the third quarter 16-7 and 21-12 in the fourth. With that win, ADM has won their last eight games and 14 of their last 15. Norwalk was led in scoring by junior Audric Pelzer’s 13 points. James Hatlevig contributed 12, as did the Little Hawkeye’s leading scorer, junior Tillman Papcun, who scored nine points below his season average. ADM was bolstered by a 25-point performance from senior Trey Bryte and 23 points from senior Hudson Lorensen. Norwalk was defended well inside, only scoring four two-point field goals in the game.

Norwalk’s next action will be in the substate semifinals on Friday, February 27th. They will play the winner of Sioux City West and Sioux City North, who play on Monday. Next Friday’s contest will be played at 7 p.m. in Norwalk’s NPECC.
