PCM’s Tucker Wheeler and Kaliber Fry will compete at the Iowa High School Boys State Wrestling Tournament starting today.

The Class 2A session will start at 2:30 pm today at the Casey’s Center in Des Moines. Wheeler is coming off a first place finish at PCM’s District meet hosted by Centerville on Saturday as Fry placed second. Wheeler is a four time state qualifier and finished second at the state meet last year. Wheeler is 43-4 on the season and he will compete in the Class 2A 157 pound bracket and will have a first round bye today in which he will face the winner of Gavin Gerbracht of Dike-New Hartford and Braden Downs of Humboldt. 

Fry is 38-11 and will be competing in the 132 pound bracket and will take on Brooks Morgan of Algona in his first round match. Stay tuned to KNIA/KRLS for state wrestling updates.
