
The Pleasantville girls basketball team will host Sigourney tonight in the Class 2A Region 6 semifinals.
The Trojan girls are coming off a 58-50 upset win on the road at Mount Ayr Tuesday night to keep their season and state tournament hopes alive. Pleasantville now sits at 12-11 on the year and will take on a 15-8 Savages squad who defeated Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont in their first regional contest. The Trojan girls are led in scoring by Liv Klootwyk who averages 11.8 points per game as Sigourney is led by Brynn Clarahan who averages 23.3 and is responsible for almost half of the team’s scoring on the season.
Tonight’s regional semifinal in Pleasantville starts at 7:00 pm.
