Pella Regional Health Center has announced that Registered Nurse and Director of the Infusion Center Leann Nunnikhoven has been named a Great Iowa Nurse. The Great Iowa Nurses program recognizes Iowa nurses who routinely go above and beyond every day and take extra steps to ensure safe, compassionate care for their patients. Associate Chief Nursing Officer Deb Davis said that Leann is a compassionate, hands-on leader who fosters teamwork and supports her team unconditionally. Davis added that Nunnikhoven led gracefully during the transition of Pella Regional Infusion Services to Mission Cancer, and during the opening of a new infusion center. Davis also said that Leann dedicated several hours to ensure her staff was well-prepared for the transition and the launch of the new unit.
