
The PCM boys basketball team fell on the road to Van Meter Friday night in the Class 2A Substate 3 quarterfinals.
The Mustangs got in a hole early and trailed 20-8 at the end of the first quarter. PCM would then be outscored 14-2 in the second frame and go into half trailing 34-10. The Mustangs would ultimately not be able to find their groove in the second half and would drop the contest 66-36. PCM was led in scoring by Kevin Thomas who had 18. The Mustang boys end their 2025-2026 season with a 14-9 overall record.
