For the second year in a row, the Pella Christian boys basketball team will take on Grand View Christian for a spot in the Substate Final, this time on Eagle Lane.

The Thunder, the number three seed in Class 2A District 12, defeated second-seeded Centerville 65-49 Thursday night to set up Tuesday’s rematch with the Eagles. Pella Christian and Grand View Christian are no strangers on the basketball court, with Tuesday set to mark their fifth meeting in the last three years. The two teams met earlier this year on December 18th, with the Eagles holding off a late Thunder rally to secure a 48-47 victory. The Thunder won both games between the two teams last winter, including a 55-39 win in the District Championship game at Knoxville High School.
