After being afforded a first round bye, the Pella girls basketball team has a bit of deja vu as it begins the Class 4A regional playoffs tonight at home.

The 12-9 Dutch welcome 9-13 Ballard from the Raccoon River Conference. It’s the same matchup and situation Pella ran into two seasons ago, and the last meeting between the teams — it resulted in a narrow, four-point win. The Bombers knocked off Fort Dodge by 30 on Wednesday night.

Pella’s girls had a five-game winning streak snapped against Dallas Center-Grimes to end the regular season on February 13th — the Mustangs will await the winner of this game in Tuesday’s go-to-state game.
