Marion County Bank has contributed $15,000 toward recent renovations at Pella Cinemas, supporting the theater’s reopening following a $400,000 improvement project.
The renovations include new reclining seating, updated carpeting, enhanced concessions, and improved theater lighting and railings, all designed to elevate the movie-going experience for community members and visitors alike. The theater is operated by Central College, which oversees day-to-day operations of the downtown cinema.
“Pella Cinemas is a place where people of all ages come together to relax, connect, and enjoy time together,” said Kevin Bolt, Bank President. “We’re glad to support this renovation and help make sure it continues to be a great experience for everyone in our community.”
Projects of this scale are often made possible through collaboration between local organizations and businesses committed to Pella’s long-term vitality.
“The City of Pella benefits from the consistent support of its local business community and this project is another great example of this support,” said Jade Dix of the Community Betterment Organization. “Organizations such as Marion County Bank have consistently demonstrated a commitment to initiatives that enhance the quality of life for residents and foster a thriving environment for both businesses and families.”
Since assuming operations in 2016, Central College has worked to maintain and update the theater for continued and expanded use by the Pella community.
