
The Knoxville School Board approved a tentative agreement and master contract with the district and Knoxville Education Association to increase teacher wages at their regular session meeting Monday.
The contract will be good through June of 2028 and for the 2026-2027 school year the base pay for teachers will increase by $450 in salary schedule A with TSS being increased by $561 per full time equivalency. Also at the meeting the board approved the KCSD at-risk plan, an ERate access point replacement recommendation, two Prairie Meadows grant applications and revisions to the elementary/middle school handbooks. The board then approved moving to Red Rover timing tracking and absence management and approved a bid from Absolute Concrete for the athletics complex parking lot project.
The meeting closed with the board setting a date for a special board meeting on March 23rd and two public hearings for the proposed budget with one being March 23rd and the other being April 13th.
