Pleasantville High School’s short film entry earned the Critics Choice Award at the Iowa High School Speech Association’s Large Group All-State Festival on Saturday.

The short film called “What you Need” earned the highest honor for the category at all-state speech and out of the hundreds of films that were entered at the district contest, it was selected as the best in the state. The film was created and directed by freshman Cael Thao. A link to the film can be found here. The all-state festival was held at Iowa State University this past weekend.
