Marion County Bank’s Board of Directors has announced that Klint Korver, currently serving as Chief Financial Officer, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Marion County Bank, following a planned leadership succession process.

Korver has been a member of the bank’s leadership team and brings experience in financial strategy, operational leadership, and long-term planning.

Korver began his career at Marion County Bank in 2004 as a consumer lender before moving into commercial lending. He later spent a decade in Southern California, serving as Chief Financial Officer for a materials company, gaining executive experience in financial oversight, operations, and strategic leadership. Most recently, Korver served as Marion County Bank’s Chief Financial Officer prior to his appointment as CEO and remains actively involved in the community as treasurer of the Pella Athletic Booster Club.

Marion County Bank’s Chairman of the Board Bryce Dahm expressed confidence in the transition, stating, “Klint is a proven leader with a clear vision for the future of Marion County Bank. His experience, strategic mindset, and commitment to our customers and communities make him the right choice to serve as CEO as we look ahead.”

This leadership transition coincides with the retirement of Steve Kraayenbrink, who will conclude his service at the end of March after a distinguished tenure with Marion County Bank, including over 15 years as President and Chief Executive Officer. Under Kraayenbrink’s leadership, the bank experienced sustained growth and completed the first bank acquisition in its history.

Reflecting on his career, Kraayenbrink shared, “Serving Marion County Bank and its customers for the past 42 years has been an incredible honor. I am deeply grateful for the many customers I’ve had the privilege to work with and for the trust they placed in our bank year after year. Those relationships, along with the people I worked alongside, are what have made this work so meaningful, and I am confident that Marion County Bank will continue to thrive under Klint’s leadership.”

Korver expressed appreciation for the foundation laid by Kraayenbrink and enthusiasm for the path ahead, saying, “I am honored by the Board’s trust and grateful for Steve’s leadership. I look forward to leading Marion County Bank forward alongside our dedicated team.”
