
Newton’s Jeremiah Killmer got better as he bowled on Wednesday at the Class 2A 2026 Boys Individual State Bowling Tournament in Waterloo, and finished 18th. The sophomore’s three-game series was 638, while the State Champion bowled a 784. Killmer’s pin totals were 180 in his first game, 226 in his second game, and 232 in his third.
Thirty-two bowlers from across the state competed in the Class 2A Individual Boys State Bowling Tournament. Killmer qualified by placing 7th at the Individual State Qualifying Meet in Ballard on February 16th with a three-game score of 649.
