A local group aiming to build the community that knows how to skate is hosting free lessons before closing for the season. Bob Zylstra and Terry Kleven with the Pella Ice Sports Association say they are hosting free skating instruction for youth at 4:30 p.m. today and again on March 5th at Caldwell Park in Pella. Participants must bring their own skates, with some available for rental at the Pella Community Services Office between 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays. A signed waiver will be required.
