Pleasantville senior Lilian Mason signed her letter of intent Wednesday to continue her academic and volleyball career at Marshalltown Community College.
Mason has been a key piece to the Trojans success on the volleyball court the past couple of seasons and earned all-conference and all-district honors in her senior season. Mason finished her senior season with 261 kills, 221 digs, and a 91.5% serve efficiency percentage with 47 aces. Mason is a multi-sport athlete at Pleasantville and has shown to be a leader on and off the court. Mason says MCC felt like the right fit and she also wanted to attend for a family connection.
“For me it was pretty easy. When I went and visited there it kind of just felt perfect. It just felt like a perfect fit and my grandpa used to live there and it just felt liek it was a calling for me to go there and be where he was.”
Mason wants to pursue physical therapy as a major. Hear a full interview from Mason on an upcoming Lely Radio Sports Page segment.
