United Way of Jasper County’s free “Voices of Inspiration” will kick off its third annual spring speakers’ series next week with Iowa State Fair Butter Cow Sculptor Sarah Pratt. United Way of Jasper County Executive Director Jessica Lowe Vokes says the free spring and fall events are meant to promote lifetime learning.

“I love the idea that we can have people come and share their stories and their knowledge and people can get it first hand. You get to be in the audience and take their knowledge and learn something. I think that’s such a valuable thing for every age.”

Pratt’s “Voices of Inspiration” presentation will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 5th at the Newton DMACC Auditorium. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m, and free-will donations will be accepted to continue the speaker series.
