The Norwalk City Council has approved a High-Quality Jobs grant application for DMOS Orthopaedic Centers as part of an incentive package tied to a new medical facility under construction along Highway 28.
The facility is being built just north of City State Bank. Norwalk City Manager Luke Nelson tells KNIA News the new facility represents an expansion of medical services in the community.
“Part of our incentive package for new developments is when somebody brings in a certain number of high-quality or higher-paying jobs, we do provide some grant incentives.”
Nelson said the grant application was submitted by DMOS and approved by the council as part of the city’s broader economic development efforts. The High-Quality Jobs program is designed to support projects that add well-paying positions and contribute to Norwalk’s commercial growth. City officials say the new facility will add to the city’s expanding healthcare footprint while supporting job creation in the community.
