United Way of Jasper County’s third annual free spring speakers’ series “Voices of Inspiration” kicks-off tonight with Iowa State Fair Butter Cow Sculptor Sarah Pratt. United Way of Jasper County Executive Director Jessica Lowe Vokes says Pratt will be making a repeat appearance in the Newton DMACC Auditorium at 6:30 p.m.

“She is the sculptor for the last two plus decades of the wonderful butter cow at the Iowa State Fair. She came in the fall, and her program was so amazing and informative and entertaining that I said we have to have more people come. So I really hope people come out so we can get the season started off strongly.”

Vokes says Pratt’s last presentation was on Thursday, November 13th, 2025, which was the same night the Newton Cardinal football team played Cedar Rapids Xavier in a Class 4A playoff game at the Uni-Dome in Cedar Falls.

Doors to the Newton DMACC Auditorium will open at 6:00 p.m. Free-will donations will be accepted to help continue the speaker series.
