The Indianola City Council approved the hotel/motel tax funding policy at their first of two monthly meetings earlier this week. Indianola City Manager Jake Meshke says this policy creates an application window for the city’s economic development partners.  

“We’ve passed this policy which provides for an application process that will open up late summer, early fall. It will also require that these entities provide an annual report, that way the city can see how those funds are being utilized and how some of the good outcomes are being achieved.”
