Indianola Municipal Utilities (IMU) has plans to move closer to a multi-gig package as they look ahead at the 2026 fiscal year. Currently, IMU is set at a one-gig formula for internet speed. IMU General Manager Chris DesPlanques says there are several multi-gig internet speed packages they are weighing options on.

“We’re going to provide the technical ability to get one, two and a half, five, or ten-gig packages. We’re working on those next generation types of internet speed experiences, so we’re keeping pace with technology all in an effort to make sure our customers are as happy as they were when they signed up.”
