The Pleasantville boys basketball team finished their 2025-2026 season with the school’s highest finish in the West Central Conference since joining the league. 

The Trojan boys finished tied for fourth place with Woodward-Granger with a 14-9 overall record and an 8-6 mark in the conference standings. This past season was tied for the most wins in a season for the Pleasantville boys since 2018. Pleasantville had four all-conference selections including a first team unanimous selection in Braylon Bingham. The Trojans won their first game of substate play against West Marshall and then fell to Grundy Center in a game where Pleasantville led a majority of the game against one of the best teams in Class 2A who ended up making the state tournament. 

During the season the Trojans had many notable accomplishments. Pleasantville broke the school record for three pointers in a game against Woodward Academy, they made 269 three pointers on the season which is a new school record, they led the entire state in made three pointers, had their first victories over Van Meter and Madrid, Nolan Fichter set a school record with 14 assists in a game, and Bingham set the school record for career field goals. 

Pleasantville will graduate two seniors.
