Two ribbon cuttings for businesses in Knoxville will be held next week. The events will be put on by the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce to celebrate the new businesses coming to town. The first ribbon cutting will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 am for Pawsitively Thrifty, which is a new thrift store to support the Marion County Humane Society. The second ribbon cutting will be next Friday at 3:00 pm for Kay’s Kupcakes, a specialty cupcake shop, who moved into their own location at 303 E Main Street on March 15th of last year. Kay’s also has specialty cakes for all occasions and other bakery items sold daily along with a Thursday lunch special. These events are open to the public.
