
The public comment period for the updated Marion County Comprehensive Plan will end on Monday.
The Marion County Zoning office has been working in conjunction with tbe Mid-Iowa Planning Alliance on the Marion County 2040 Comprehensive Plan update. The purpose of the plan is to document a long-range vision for unincorporated Marion County and to guide land use and development policies while providing strategies that implement and achieve that vision.
Part of the Comprehensive Plan update process is to give the public an opportunity to provide input. The public comment period for residents of Marion County opened February 6th and will close Monday. The draft of the Marion County Comprehensive Plan is available for public review and comment here.
