The Pella Opera House will welcome the Dove Award-winning band Sidewalk Prophets to the stage tonight.
Sidewalk Prophets is a contemporary Christian music band that released their first album in 2003, and have had five number one songs and nine top five radio singles since that time. The band is a mainstay within the industry, amassing more than 240 million career on-demand streams, 1.88 million digital tracks sold, and 82.4 million views on YouTube. Lead singer Dave Frey said that the band played multiple shows in Pella at church youth group events when they were first starting out, and that he’s excited to come back and relive some of those memories.
“To come back and check your memories and see if they’re what you remember, but at the same time, knowing that most people that we played youth group for are now in their 30s now. We know that getting to come back, maybe they’ll have kids in youth group and hopefully they’ll come to the Opera House and have a great time.”
