The Indiana Township Fire Department Firemen’s Breakfast fundraiser is scheduled on Saturday, March 21st.

The event will be at 1980 Highway G76 and include biscuits and gravy and breakfast burritos. This fundraiser helps with the purchase of equipment for the volunteer fire department. Chief Steven Watson says events like this are important for small rural fire departments.

“Fundraiser are huge for Indiana Township. Our budget that comes from the tax base is pretty much eaten up by fuel, repairs, and all the day to day operational things. It buys us a set of bunker gear once a year but beyond that we can’t really afford to purchase or upgrade any equipment out of that money. Fundraisers are huge because we can hold a fundraiser, set goals and come together as a department to figure out what the highest priority needs are within the department.”

The Indiana Township Fire Department Firemen’s breakfast will be from 6:00 am – 10:30 am on Saturday the 21st.
