Newton Mayor Randy Ervin is pleased with how his initial “Chat with the Mayor” gatherings went. Ervin is entering his third month as mayor and says he really enjoyed his first two “Chats”, although he wished more people would have been there.

“I was very thankful that I had City Council people at both of those. We had citizens throughout the community come in with ideas and sound questions. I really appreciate that. I hope to have another one later in March and maybe once a month. But it’s a lot of fun.”

The first chat with the Newton Mayor was February 19th at Grey Moon Public Market, while the second one occurred February 28th at the Newton Public Library.
