The proposed purchase of a used semi tractor and approval of De-Escalation training for the Secondary Roads Department are items that highlight the agenda for tomorrow’s Jasper County Board of Supervisors meeting.
Jasper County Engineer Mike Frietsch has received five quotes for various used semi-tractors ranging from $31,900 to $47,000. He’s recommending the County Supervisors approve the highest priced unit from Diamond Trail Sales Incorporated of Monroe, which is a Peterbilt tractor with the second-lowest mileage and the highest horsepower motor.
The proposed two-to-three-hour De-Escalation training would take place next week with a trainer from Boone, at a cost not to exceed $1,100 plus materials.
Tuesday’s Jasper County Board of Supervisors meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the Board Room on the second floor of the Jasper County Courthouse in Newton.
