The three captains for the Knoxville Girls basketball Squad this season were Ayla Williams and seniors Karalee Kennedy and Merissa Borwig helped with leadership and showed many of the younger and less experienced players how things go and what to do in certain situations. Coach Tracy Wilkins tells KNIA/KRLS Sports it did not take long to figure out who the team captains were going to be.
Wilkins: “It was obvious who our leaders were going to be. They were taking the younger players under their arms and showing them how to do certain things and we even threw new things at them and they picked up on it very quickly.”
Knoxville finished the season at 0-22.
