A traffic accident on Highway 14 in Knoxville Tuesday afternoon has sent two drivers to the hospital.

According to Knoxville Police Chief Aaron Fuller, this was a rear end accident and both drivers were taken to the hospital. The accident happened just north of Madison Street on Highway 14. The accident caused significant traffic backup on the highway. The Knoxville Fire Department, Knoxville Police Department, Iowa State Patrol and Marion County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene.
