A record 18 members of the Central College men’s and women’s track and field squads were recognized as All-Midwest Region performers for the indoor season by the USTFCCCA on Wednesday.

To be named All-Region, an athlete must either be ranked in the top five of an individual event in the region or be part of a top-three relay team.

Both Ava Parkins and Peyton Steffen were all-region in four events. Parkins made it for the 60-meter dash, 200-meter dash, 400-meter dash and 4×400-meter relay. Steffen was recognized in the mile run, 3,000-meter run, 5,000-meter run and distance medley relay. Emily McMartin had three all-region spots; the 200-meter dash, 400-meter dash and 4×400-meter relay. Olivia Bohlen was all-region in the 60-meter hurdles and pentathlon. Alivia Roerdink and Kennedy Petersen in the 4×400-meter relay, Maddy Stevens, Olivia Phillips, and Kyra Cordes in the distance medley relay, and Karlee Warnke in the long jump round out Central’s women’s honorees.

Kale Hobart was a three-event honoree in the 60-meter hurdles, long jump and heptathlon. Kale Purcell was honored in the triple jump and high jump. Gunner Meyer was tabbed in the 60-meter hurdles and high jump. Jack Brown was recognized in the mile run and 3,000-meter run.
