The Board of Directors for the Newton Arboretum and Botanical Gardens will be sharing their plans for the rest of this year at a special Lunch and Learn event on Thursday, March 26th. Ina Heidemann, the Board of Directors Vice-President, says the Lunch & Learn will be at the Arboretum and Botanical Gardens that day, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“It’s a free event. You can get some lunch and some drinks and some sweets. We celebrated thirty years last year as a space, and we want to share with you what we did last year and what we got going on this year as well as our plans for the future.”

Heidemann says registration for the March 26th Lunch and Learn is recommended, but not required. To register, call the Arboretum at 641-791-3021. Office hours are Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Friday. The Newton Arboretum & Botanical Gardens at 3000 North 4th Avenue East consists of six acres, along with an additional 13 acres of seedling prairie.
