The Pella City Council is holding a public hearing today for extension of University Street east from 240th to 250th place. Eight bids have been submitted, with all but one coming in below the engineer’s $5.2 million estimate. Several resolutions are also on tonight’s agenda, including:

Opening Bids and Setting Public Hearing for Pella Community Center Renovations
Change Order for Pella Indoor Recreation Center
Change Order for Professional Services Agreement with Terracon Consultants

Three ordinances are on the agenda, including the second reading of a change to the tax increment financing district ordinance for the Lely Urban Renewal Plan, and the first readings of ordinances allowing mobile food units on designated city-owned property and fees related to those operations.

During a policy and planning work session, the council will discuss a water main project at the Pella Municipal Airport and a compensation study update.

The Pella City Council meeting begins at 6:00 this evening in the Pella Public Safety Complex.
