The John C. Culver Public Policy Center is holding the 15th annual Culver Lecture at the Pote Theatre in the Blank Performing Arts Center on Simpson College’s Campus. Simpson College’s Seth Anderson says the lecture revolves around past presidents, it will have a local tie involved.

“The title of Douglas Brinkley’s Lecture is Growing Green: George W. Carver to Jimmy Carter. He’s going to talk a bit about the Green Revolution in agriculture. There’s a local tie in with George Washington Carver and his time at Simpson and in Iowa. He’ll also talk about how presidents up through Jimmy Carter promotions innovated in agriculture, the Green Revolution, the work of Iowans like Norman Borlaug and George Washington Carver with the history of that.
