The new Marion County Sheriff’s app is providing a variety of resources for local residents.

The goal of this app is to help the citizens of Marion County stay connected, informed and safe. The app includes important alerts such as weather and amber, latest news from the sheriff’s office, inmate search and jail information, place to submit tips, sex offender information and more. When downloading the app you can enable notifications so you are informed immediately when something happens. Marion County Sheriff Jason Sandholdt says the app is a great tool and convenient way to have valuable information at your fingertips and they have already had a good response from the public.

“We’ve been using it now for quite a few months and the number of people that continue to download it is fabulous. There is no cost to you as the public or anything to use it. It’s a great tool, please look for the QR code and if you have questions about it, reach out to the sheriff’s office.”

The app can be downloaded on the Apple or Google Play store or by following the QR code located around the community.
