The Knoxville Chamber of Commerce will hold their annual meeting tonight.
The annual meeting will be from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Pierschbacher Funeral Home and include an award program, dinner and cocktail reception. There will be annual awards presented at the meeting, which include the business impact award, community impact award, and rising star award. The awards are meant to celebrate outstanding businesses, individuals, and organizations who help make Knoxville a great place to live, work, and do business.
Knoxville Chamber of Commerce Director Megan Bennett says due to the Iowa vs Nebraska basketball game, John Piersbacher will have the game on a television in each room and to make sure members get the recognition they deserve, they will do awards first followed by dinner and a cocktail reception so people can enjoy the game at the event. Bennett says the event is also an opportunity for non-chamber members to see what the organization does along with how chamber members support the community.
“This gives people the opportunity to attend and really see what the chamber does and the impact we can make on the community, but we are only able to do that with the support of our members so the more members we have, the more ways we can help.”
Pierschbacher Funeral Home is located at 309 W Main St.
