Pella Christian Schools has announced the appointment of two new principals for the 2026–2027 school year. 

Steven Overbergen has been selected to serve as Principal for Early Education through 4th Grade, and Renae Sloan has been named Principal for 5th through 8th Grade, and both will officially begin their roles on July 1.

Overbergen is a graduate of Central College, where he earned a degree in Elementary Education. He also holds a master’s degree in School Leadership from Dordt University. Steven currently serves as a K–5 Instructional Coach at Mitchellville Elementary within the Southeast Polk Community School District. 

Sloan, an alumna of Pella Christian, earned her undergraduate degree in Music Education from Trinity Christian College and holds a master’s degree in Music Education from Central Washington University. She has served in Christian education throughout the state of Washington since 2010 and most recently held the role of Assistant High School Principal at Lynden Christian School through 2024.
