A Pella High School graduate is once again competing among the best in the nation in cheerleading. Jonah Brown is with Northwestern College in Orange City, and is heading back to the 2026 NAIA Cheer Championships in Topeka, Kansas this weekend. This event will feature Northwestern College’s competitive cheer team. Brown has been part of two national qualifiers the previous two seasons and now three consecutive GPAC Championships.

The championships will commence with preliminary rounds today at 4:00 p.m., where Northwestern is scheduled to perform at 5:20 p.m. The finals will follow the next day, March 28, at 10:00 a.m., with teams performing in reverse order based on their standings from the preliminaries.
