Mahaska/Marion Women, Land, & Legacy invites women in both counties to learn more about starting a small food business and cottage food law at the next meeting in Oskaloosa on April 30th.

The event will be held from 5:30-7:30 pm at the Mahaska County Environmental Learning Center, and will feature a presentation by Food Business Specialist at Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Penny Brown Huber. Key topics that will be covered include Iowa’s cottage food laws, support for home‑based food entrepreneurs, and the labeling requirements needed to comply with state regulations.

This event is free and open to the public, and women are strongly encouraged to attend. For more information or to RSVP contact Nichole Baxter at (641) 531-7090 or email nichole.baxter@usda.gov.
