The Benton, Central Iowa United, and Ottumwa boys soccer teams will be in Newton today for the Newton Boys Cardinal Soccer Classic. The Newton boys are looking for their first win after losing two 6-0 games at home to Norwalk and at Marshalltown. Junior Connor Vest has two of the Cardinals six shots on goal so far this season, and goalkeeper Henry Allen has thirty saves with a 71.4% save percentage. 

Newton will play Central Iowa United in the first game at 9:00 a.m. and Benton in the last game of the classic, which is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
