Three Knoxville High School Students signed their letters stating where they are going to play sports at the college level yesterday. Mackenzie Boyd will join the women’s bowling squad at William Penn next year. Boyd says she has come a long way from the time she started with the sport a few years ago. Boyd had a good year bowling for the Panthers…she averaged nearly 147 pins per game…with a high game this season of 234. The second Knoxville student athlete to sign this spring was Wick Cunningham. He will run track and cross country at N-C-A-A- Division two Northwest Missouri State. Cunningham told KNIA KRLS Sports several things went into his decision to run for the Bearcats. Cunningham helped lead the Panthers Boys Cross Country Squad to a sixth place team finish and a third place individually. He also was on the state runner up Panther boys track Squad. The third and final Knoxville Panther to sign yesterday was Jacob Moats. Moats is going to run track and Cross Country at Dordt College. Moats was also on the boys Cross Country Squad…and he was also a state qualifier in the high jump where he finished fifth and was also a part of the state champion four-by-400 meter relay team.
