After a water main break yesterday afternoon, the City of Pleasantville is under a boil advisory. Cory Frank, Environmental Health Program Manager at Public Health says in addition, it is recommended that affected citizens empty their refrigerator ice makers or turn them off during this time and also throw out the first full loads of ice as a precaution. Also, Frank says, it’s recommended that pregnant women use bottled water not boiled as a precaution and that when preparing formula use bottled water only, as a precaution, not boiled water. The water was restored late yesterday afternoon, but the advisory remains in place. KNIA KRLS News will bring any updates as they are made official.
