City of Pella employees were recognized for their years of service at a breakfast this week. Mayor James Mueller presented length of service awards to a number of City of Pella employees, including Dan Houser, who has worked for the city for 35 years, Robert Boyd, Alvin Ozinga, and Marcia Slycord for 30, and Doug Riggen for 25. The event was held at the Public Safety Complex Thursday morning, and employees with 5, 10, 15, and 20 years as city employees were also honored. Employees with twenty years of service included Shannon Foote, Electric Department,Mike Norman, Diesel Plant, Thom Summitt, Parks Department, and Curt Vos, Public Works Street Department.
Employees with fifteen years of service included Teresa Butler and David Beukelman. Matt Huston and Daniel Schwerdtfeger were recognized for ten years of service. Employees with five years of service included Lisa Davis-Kovarik, Kourtney De Vos, Doug Smid, Olivia Warner, Jacob Wassenaar, and Melissa Webb.
